ARMED FORCES DAY FLY-IN/DRIVE-IN
We, the LZ64 Committee, regret to inform you, that due to circumstances beyond our control, the June 15, 2019 Armed Forces Fly-In at Ocean County Airport, originally scheduled for 11AM to 5PM, will NOT TAKE PLACE as originally planned.
Ocean County and the OC Airport are not able to provide the necessary support and logistics needed to execute this full scale event safely. We appreciate the candor of our local government, and obviously want our Fly-Ins to be executed with a priority of public safety, which includes on site support from traffic control, EMS, and our local police and fire departments.
We apologize to our Aviation, Veteran and Volunteer community, for those of you who had planned to generously give your support that day.
We still need your help! We are currently exploring alternative options for new locations and dates. Moving forward into the summer and fall, LZ64‘s dedicated committee will create a series of smaller, more intimate, impactful Fly-In events for New Jersey and surrounding area, to continue our mission to serve those suffering from PTSD.
If this message reaches you as a volunteer PILOT please message LZ64 to coordinate availability for future Fly-In events for 2019.
If this message reaches you as a VETERAN or VOLUNTEER, please continue to monitor your emails, our Facebook page, or LZ64.ORG for updates.
LZ64 wholeheartedly appreciates the massive outreach of enthusiasm in carrying out our mission, and we look forward to bringing you some amazing events in the near future.
